Orthodontic Marketing Multi-TaskerI read a great post this morning while getting ready for the AAO in Boston.  This entire week has been on fast forward trying to get everything done.  One of my biggest challenges is multi-tasking.  When there is limited time in a busy day and so much to do, I often flit from one task to the next without completing anything in a timely manner.  The last thing I should be doing is writing a blog post right now… but I was distracted reading the post and thought I would share.

Good SEO Keyword Content Will Increase Your Orthodontic Marketing Efforts On GoogleSEO Orthodontic Marketing

The goal of any professional website, whether it be dental, orthodontic, medical or any small business, is to direct prospective new patients to pick up the phone or email your office for a new patient exam.  Your website is a marketing sales tool first… and information site second.  Your content must engage the viewer, direct them to look further into your site, and create an emotional response so they make the contact.  Once they have started treatment, your site is used to provide content rich information to promote and exceed patient and parent expectations of the overall treatment experience.  Ex: 24/7 access to patient information, appointment confirmation, e-newsletters etc.

Is orthodontic marketing on You Tube good or bad?

Are you ramping up your Internet SEO orthodontic marketing strategies like newspapers across the country?

I found an interesting post today by Beth Lawton of the Newspapers Association of America on Newspapers businesses across the country ramping up their online video operations, purchasing equipment, training reporters, heavily promoting the results, and ultimately drawing new visitors and advertisers to the newspaper's Web site.

Speed In MarketingWe're all guilty of being perfectionists at one time or another. However, in orthodontic marketing it can be detrimental…

It's appropriate to strive for a perfect Class I occlusion when treating orthodontic patients or in my case,  the perfect Web 2.0 Internet marketing program to catapult your practice to page one on Google in a highly competitive area. That's okay… Being anal-retentive about some things in our life is normal, and maybe even necessary for our emotional well-being.

It's OK to say no to some new orthodontic marketing tacticsSay No To TwitterAs someone who enjoys reading and writing, I don’t always identify with this “quick fix” mindset so common to the online audience. But as an online marketer, I’ve seen the effectiveness of concise communications, especially with Web 2.0 Internet marketing. Search engine results (SEO), Blogging, Video, Press Releases, article writing with “Read more” links–all of these things are important to the online experience and they all share the same common element; relaying information that users can either ignore, or choose to explore further.

Today’s audience has grown accustomed to a world in which everything is faster, smaller, and to-the-point. What used to be a giant stack of CD cases is now contained in an iPod that fits in your pocket.  A phone call to see how a friend is doing has become a 5-second check of their status on social media sites like Facebook.  Kentucky Fried Chicken has become KFC, because who has time for 6 syllables when 3 will do just fine?
